The Empowering Educators Fellowship – Creating Empowered Classrooms
Why:
- The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG’s) provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
- To leave a better planet to our children we must strive to leave kinder children to our planet.
- Empowering educators allows for farther reach across all age grades.
- Enabling educators to drive change allows for long term impact.
TEEF for Schools and Colleges is a tool to:
- Build empathy and compassion
- Bring about ecological behavioural change
- Enhance environmental identity and environmental literacy
- Facilitate spiritual, ethical, cognitive, mental, physical and emotional understanding
- Equip facilitators to create empathetic and conscious classrooms
- Enhance capacities to impart knowledge about our surrounding environment
- Develop skills and local solutions for outcome and action
TEEF a structured programme with measurable learning outcomes for both youth and facilitators. Through a systematic, feedback loop we aim to achieve:
- Enhanced environmental literacy and identity
- Self empowerment that will enable empowered classrooms
- Develop a healthy work life balance
- Enhanced EQ and empathy
- Stress relief and holistic well being
- Foster inclusivity
- Build a safe and inclusive peer space
