Educational Camps

Protecterra runs only two annual camps. The focus is deeply on educational and immersive experiences. We are dedicated to creating experiences for children that are life long memories as opposed to just a touristic getaway.
Adventure Camp:
Our adventure camp is usually at locations near Pune. Since 2018 we have travelled to different forts, campsites and outdoor adventure locations. The adventure camps usually focus on survival skills, team building and adventure activities ranging from rappelling, climbing, rafting, ziplining and much more depending on location. All our adventure camps run in partnership with Adventure Mantra. AM is more than just a group of people working together. It is a team that is committed to providing safe, rewarding, fun filled, and fully customised outdoor experiences. Experiences that commence in skill building exercises and culminate in nurturing the innate leadership each one of us is blessed with.
Adventure camps range from 2 to 3 nights depending on the location and are conducted during Diwali vacations or Christmas Break.
Wildlife Camp:
Our wildlife camp is usually at a national park, tiger reserve or wildlife sanctuary. Since 2012 we have travelled to various mainstream and offbeat wildlife locations. The wildlife camps focus on engaging children with forests and wildlife. All our wildlife camps are in partnership with Nature Walk Outdoors. Nature Walk Outdoors was founded in 2000 out of the desire of a group of nature lovers to share their experience of the outdoors with others. Anuj Khare, the founder of Nature Walk has been working in the field of wildlife education, camping and tourism for the last 20 years.
Wildlife camps range from 4 nights to 6 nights depending on the location and are conducted towards the end of April.
For both our camps:
- We follow a 5:1 adult ratio, for a group of 5 children each we will have one volunteer assigned.
- We also follow a buddy system where each child buddies with another for safety
- All our camps are led by experienced professionals that are also trained in handling First Aid emergencies
- Our partner campsites are child friendly and has been designed with a view to ensure safety
- All the activities are tried and tested by our team of experts on a regular basis to ensure the highest level of safety.
